Angry Birds on Windows Phone 7 – April 6th 2011

April the 6th will mark the release of Angry Birds for the Windows Phone 7 platform, a day where work productivity plummets.

Angry Birds, one of the most popular smartphone games available 2010/2011 has been available for the Android/iOS/Mac/Windows/PS3-PSP/WebOS platforms with Windows Phone 7 missing out on the fun. This release is sure to be welcome by the many Windows Phone 7 users who have eagerly been awaiting it’s official release date since it Rovio announced it was being developed.

Angry Birds for Windows Phone 7 will feature Xbox Live integration to enable Achievements, Leaderboards and more. With this new addition to the Windows Phone 7 marketplace it shows signs that Microsoft are trying to appeal to a more mainstream audience, gaming on the Windows Phone 7 is a brilliant experience and Angry Birds is a great way to show it.

11 Year Old spends £1000+ via Xbox 360

Recently there have been various news articles reporting how an 11 year old boy managed to spend just over £1,000 on additional content via his Xbox 360 using his Mum’s debit card.

Quite a few people take advantage of the fact that you can enter your card details on your Xbox 360 to make additional content purchases easier. Downloadable Content (DLC) is one of the most popular types of purchases made through the Xbox 360 as they tend to provide new levels, equipment and characters to individual games.

Instead of realising that she may of made a mistake in letting her son use the Xbox 360 unsupervised, she decided to attack Microsoft saying “it’s too easy to make purchases from it” and that ‘When he is in gaming mode he can’t be thinking about the money. You can’t put all that responsibility on a young boy.”.
